The purpose of the swage terminal is to provide a fixed point at the end of the wire rope, the tube of the swage terminal is hollow and allows the wire rope to be placed inside. An industrial press is used to apply several tonnes of force to the wire rope to form a permanent connection with the swage terminal. The Swage terminal can hold a high percentage of the wire rope breaking load, up to around 90%.
Open your swageless terminal.
Put the wire rope through the bottom part of the terminal.
Put the center cone over your wire rope leaving approx 3-4mm sticking out of the top of the center cone.
Simply screw your terminal together with the center cone directly under the top part of the terminal.
