LGRIG® Tug Cylindrical Fender TY Type

LGRIG® Tug Cylindrical Fender TY Type, also known as Cylindrical tug fender.

LGRIG® Tug Cylindrical Fender TY Type is often used as the primary pushing fender on the bow or stern of tugs, but is equally effective for pushing flat-sided vessels. Cylindrical tug fender can be fixed to the hull by chains or straps for easy installation, with tapered ends also available.

Large cylindrical fenders are often used as the primary pushing fenders on the bow or stern of modern tugs, with a round shape ideal for working with large bow flares like those on container ships, while also being suitable for flat-sided vessels.

Tug cylindrical fenders come in diameters up to 1000 mm and in very long continuous or spigot-joined lengths, with a longitudinal chain running down the center supplemented by circumferential straps or chains recessed into grooves.

These cylindrical tug fenders feature a heavy-duty design with a soft, flexible face, grooved for extra grip, low weight per square meter, and the ability to fit around tight bends, making them suitable for all types of tugs, pontoon protection, special corner fenders, ocean-going tugs, and pontoon yokes.

LGRIG® Tug Cylindrical Fender TY Type is versatile and robust, providing excellent energy absorption and resistance to wear, ideal for various marine applications ensuring safe berthing and docking operations.

Cylindrical tug fender offers robust protection for docks and vessels, ensuring superior energy absorption and durability in harsh marine environments, with a simple design allowing for easy installation and maintenance.

Tug cylindrical fenders are built for long-lasting performance in tough marine conditions, used worldwide for decades of durable hull protection, with mandrel-built construction and optional tapered ends and grooved profiles that suit webbing straps or sleeved chains.

Different from cylindrical CYL-type, the cylindrical tug fender is often found on the bow and stern of tug boats, and its semi-flexible body enables a well-fitted installation, making it one of the most popular options for boat fenders.
